Turnaround Management

 

Ideally the best laid plans and the flawless execution of a China strategy would lead to nothing but growth, smooth sailing, and success. In many cases, however, problems will arise that require Conflict Resolution (link) to solve successfully. There are situations where companies simply run into problems too significant to be able to deal with each problem individually. With too many symptoms, it can quickly become a failed effort to chase down each problem, while consuming significant resources in the process.

 

In these cases, a transfusion of sorts is needed to resuscitate the failing company. The range of problems can be many (see Conflict Resolution), but the severity of the problems mandates a radical solution, indeed a turnaround is needed to salvage the operation and eliminate the problems. Restarting the operation will require building upon the foundation of a new team, a new operational structure, and/or new relationships, as appropriate.
