IP Strategy Development

 

Myland USA has perfected a process to determine what level of protection is needed for different types of products, manufacturing processes, and other areas of IP that have a strategic impact on U.S. companies who decide to do business with China. As we work with a company to determine which (of five possible levels) is the needed level, we then map out the best process for securing the needed protection, and prevent as many IP infringement issues as possible.

 

Dealing with China on the topic of IP can be very different from dealing with other industrialized countries and areas. At Myland USA, our primary focus for IP strategy is focused on prevention, but based on experience we make sure to arm our clients with a ready-made “Plan B” and “Plan C”. We have the experience to anticipate the possible scenarios that could lead to IP issues. We will also work with our clients to identify in advance the resources that are available, and which would be needed, to deal with the contingencies of IP protection issues.
